Dan Harding | Associate Professor of Architecture
Dan Harding is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Community Design+Build and serves as the director of the Community Research and Design Center (CR+DC) and the Architecture + communityBUILD graduate certificate program (A+cB). His courses include Architectural History, Design Studio, Community 1:1, and Productions and Assemblies. Dan has been at Clemson University since 2014, when he started as the program coordinator in Genoa, Italy.
Dan’s research seeks to establish a sound connection between community, sinuous public space, and a social justice demanding a better and more sustainable interface between the built environment, natural environment, and the human experience.
Dan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1992 and his Master’s Degree in Architecture from Clemson University in 1994. Professionally, Dan was a co-founder and principal of Intrinsik Architecture until 2013. He also held a range of other related occupations, including a furniture craftsman, real estate developer, and project manager.
